UsaconX Setup
Software

Installation Instructions
After downloading:
1. double click on the the setup icon

After reading the initial dialog, click OK.

Enter your full name, username and
password in the appropriate fields. If you are not subscribed to any
other Internet service providers, place a check in the box labeled: Remove
Existing Dialup Accounts.

Click the Select Button to pick your local access
number.

You must know which network you are assigned to
in order to proceed, The sales representative that activated your account should
have given you this information. if you're not sure which network you're
assigned to, either email the administrator
admin@usaconx.com or call the 24 hour technical support line at
1-877-329-1371
if you are and exciting UsaconX customer and you
didn't install the setup software, the suffix at the end of your username with
determine which network you are assigned to. when you click the drop down menu
under Network, you will see the suffix for the appropriate networks.

After installing the dialer, you can either delete the
setup icon or save it to a floppy disc.
Double click the Internet Explorer icon and you will see your new
dialer. See below.

To dialup to UsaconX Internet, just click the Connect button. |
Manual Setup Instructions

First you must know which network
you are assigned to. The sales rep you spoke with when you signed up will assign
you a network and give you your local access number. The network you are
assigned to will determine what suffix you will use at the end of your user name
when you logon to the Internet.

My username is johndoe. I have been
assigned to Network O. I will have to type

for my username. Don't confuse this with your email address. The email address
is johndoe@usaconx.com.

Internet Explorer
5 and 5.5 and 6 with Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP

Click your start button, go to
settings and click on Control Panel. (Windows XP: Click Start Then
Control Panel)

Double click on your Internet
Options icon.

Erase anything that may be in the Address field
in the Home Page area.

Enter www.usaconx.com in the Address
field in the Home Page area.

Click Apply in the bottom right of the
Internet Properties dialog box.
-
Click the Connections tab.
-
Click the Setup Button
-
The first box is the welcome box.
Just click the >>Next button.
Setting up your Internet
Connection

Select: I want to setup my
Internet connection manually , or I want to connect through a local area
network (LAN)
(Windows XP: Select Connect to the Internet) >> Next.

Select: I connect though a phone
line and a modem >> Next.
Step 1 of 3: Internet account
connection information
Note: if you need to dial
an area code, place the area code in the telephone number field along with the
access number. If you don't need to use an area code, just type in the access
number.
Step 2 of 3: Internet account
logon information

Enter your username along with the
network suffix in the username field. Make sure no capital letters are used.

Enter your password in the
password field >> Next.

computer
Setup Your Internet Mail
Account
If this is not the first time you
setup an email account on you computer, you will be asked to create a new
Internet mail account or use an existing Internet mail account. Select create
a new email account
Your Name
Internet E-Mail Address
E-Mail Server Name
Leave the first field "My Incoming mail server
is a "POP3" server.
Incoming mail(POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server

Enter: mail.usaconx.com

>> Next
Incoming Mail Logon
Completing the Internet
Connection Wizard. Click
>> Finish.
