| Coastal New England | Down East |
Miscellaneous |
Paul has a passion for bold color, He states "color evokes
emotion".
Paul wants each
painting to make a strong color statement, and if possible, at the same
time evoke a mood
or elicit an emotional response in the viewer.
Paul works in oil, painting mostly representational landscapes and
seascapes in what
he
suggests is his
own unique style. A mixture
of: "Primitive",
"Impressionism",
and
"Expressionism".
Thus, with "tongue in cheek" Paul
calls himself a PIE painter..

From the range of paintings shown here you can see that Paul has
travelled
extensively, and while not limited to,
he
finds the desert south-west, coastal New England, and Florida subjects
particularly inspiring and
adaptable
to
his own distinctive style of
painting.
All of
Paul's
paintings are in oil and a variety of sizes. About half are
either
18"x24" or 20"x24", already framed,
and sell
in the $250-$350 price range. Approximately one third are larger
and range in sizes up to 30"x40",
some framed,
and typically sell in the $400-$750 range, and a few even larger ones
being offered at higher
prices.
